Kindergarten Readiness

In 2011, we introduced a new program to help refugee families get prepared to put their young ones in school. As most refugee parents don’t speak English, the children have a hard time integrating into kindergarten due to a lack of understanding and inability to meet teachers’ expectations.

In our Kindergarten Readiness Program, we love on these young ones as we help them learn their ABCs, colors, shapes, and numbers. We also help them learn to follow commands and play well with others in a setting similar to a classroom.

This program is offered at our Highland Park facility on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30am-12:00pm.

Directions From I-65: Take Exit 78 for TN-255 N / Harding Place and merge onto Harding Place. In 2 miles, turn right onto Nolensville Road. Highland Park is located just under 1 mile on the left. The entrance to the apartment complex is very close to the O'Reilly Auto Parts so it's almost like you are turning into the Auto Parts entrance.

Want to volunteer? No need to be a trained teacher. Just love children. :)
